Notifications
The bell in the top bar.
What you get told about
Things needing attention: a connection that needs reauthorising, a failed publish, a scan that produced drafts to review, a monthly report that generated.
Click one to go to the thing it is about.
Notifications are per user
They are scoped to you, not to a brand. You see notifications from every brand you belong to in one place, which is right, since you have one bell and several brands.
Preferences
Your profile, then Notifications. Not in brand settings, because these are personal: you and a teammate on the same brand can want completely different things.
Per notification type, per channel (in app, email), toggle what you receive.
Notifications are opt out. A new type is on by default, so you find out about a new thing worth knowing rather than missing it because you never enabled it.
Push
Mobile push needs a device token registered, which the mobile app handles on sign-in. See Notification preferences for the API.
Badges are separate
The counts in the sidebar are not notifications, they are live counts:
| Badge | Counts |
|---|---|
| Planning | Drafts awaiting review, plus ideas at new |
| Queue | Pending slots |
| Comments | Comments waiting to be posted |
| Inbox | Unread conversations |
| Settings | Connections needing reauthorisation |
They update as you work and cannot be turned off.
The scheduler dot
Bottom of the sidebar. Not a notification either, but the most important indicator in the app.
Green means the scheduler stamped a heartbeat recently and due slots will publish. Red means it is stale and nothing will publish.
Check it first whenever something did not go out.
