Hooks

Opening lines. The first sentence decides whether anyone reads the rest, so they get their own library.

Studio, then Hooks.

Statuses and categories

Three tabs: Inbox (generated, untriaged), Favorites (saved), Used.

Categories: question, controversy, story, statistic, curiosity, challenge.

Four ways to get hooks

Generate. Give it a topic, optionally a category, and a count from 1 to 20. It writes hooks in your voice.

From a YouTube URL. Pulls the hook out of the video's transcript. YouTube only, because it is the only platform with an official transcript path.

From a Threads result. Save a Threads post's text directly as a hook. No AI involved, because a good Threads post already is a hook.

From an Instagram result. The same, from hashtag search.

From a tracked video. The Generate hooks action on any video in Videos.

What to do with one

Write a script, which starts a script with this hook.

Draft a post, which writes a full draft opening with it.

Or leave it in favourites until you need it. A stocked hook library is what stops the blank page problem on a day you have nothing.

Working with them

Generate 10 to 20 on a topic. Most will be bad. Favourite the two that made you feel something, and dismiss the rest without guilt. That ratio is normal and it is why the count goes up to 20.

Read them out loud

A hook that works on paper and dies out loud will die in a feed too. This is the fastest filter there is.

Improving what you get

Hook quality tracks your voice guide and persona closely.

Generic hooks usually mean a thin voice guide. Add specific bans (the phrasings you would never use) and the output improves immediately.

Categories in practice

question and curiosity are the safe defaults. controversy gets attention and costs goodwill, so use it when you actually hold the position. statistic needs a real number, so do not let it invent one.
