Invite members
Studio, then Settings, then the Members tab.
Inviting
Enter an email, pick a role, send. The email gets a link that adds that address to the brand with that role.
It does not matter who opens the link or who is signed in at the time. The link always adds the invited email, never the person clicking, and nobody has to sign in first.
- Someone new to Postlyra gets a page to set their name and password, and is signed in right after.
- Someone who already has a Postlyra account is added straight away and signs in as usual.
Until a new person sets their password, whoever opens the link can set it, so treat the link like a password. It works until the invitation expires, 7 days after it was sent.
You can resend an invitation (the previous link stops working), or cancel one nobody has opened yet. Once the link has been opened the person is a member: remove them instead.
Removing
Removing a member revokes their access to that brand immediately. It does not delete their Postlyra account, and it does not touch their access to other brands on the account.
Owner only
Only a brand owner can manage members
Inviting, resending, cancelling and removing are all restricted to the owner. The Members tab renders read-only for everyone else.
Seats
How many members a brand can hold comes from the staff_accounts allowance on your plan. The Members tab shows used against the limit. Pending invitations count as seats until they are accepted or cancelled.
Hitting the limit gives you "You have reached your plan limit. Upgrade for more." Remove someone, cancel a pending invitation, or upgrade. See Plans and billing.
Roles
Chosen when you invite: Member or Client. There is no separate step to change it afterwards; remove and re-invite if you got it wrong. See Roles and permissions for what each one can do.
The short version: a Member can approve and schedule, which means publish to your connected accounts. Invite as Member deliberately.
Members across brands
A person is invited per brand. Someone on two of your brands can hold different roles in each, and switches between them with the brand switcher exactly as you do.
From the API
The API invites the same way: POST /invitations, plus endpoints to list, resend and cancel. See Members.
There is no way to create a member directly, in Studio or the API. Every person joins through an invitation and sets their own password, so you never handle it.
