Platform support
What each platform accepts, generated from the connectors actually registered in the app. A platform absent from the first table cannot be connected or published to, whatever else you may have read.
Publishing
| Platform | Connect | Post kinds | Caption limit | Max media | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bluesky | Paste credentials | text, images | 300 | 4 | — |
| Facebook Pages | OAuth | text, link, image, carousel | 63,206 | 10 | Publishing stays dry-run gated until Meta app review passes. |
| Google Business | OAuth | text, image | 1,500 | 1 | — |
| Paste credentials | image, carousel, reel | 2,200 | 10 | — | |
| OAuth | text, image, document, video | 3,000 | 300 | Post analytics are unavailable: LinkedIn gates that API behind business verification. | |
| OAuth | image | 800 | 1 | — | |
| Threads | OAuth | text, image, carousel | 500 | 20 | Publishing stays dry-run gated until Meta app review passes. |
| TikTok | OAuth | video | 2,200 | 1 | — |
| YouTube | OAuth | video | 5,000 | 1 | Uploads are forced to private visibility until Google audit passes. |
Not available
| Platform | Status |
|---|---|
| X | No connector is registered, so this platform cannot be connected or published to at all. |
Video requirements
A video is checked against these before it can be scheduled, so a misfit shows up in the composer rather than failing hours later at the slot.
| Platform | Max size | Duration | Container | Video codec | Audio codec | Max dimension |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 315 MB | 3s to 15 min | mov, mp4, m4a, 3gp, 3g2, mj2 | h264 | aac | 1920px | |
| 524 MB | 3s to 30 min | mov, mp4, m4a, 3gp, 3g2, mj2 | h264 | aac | — | |
| TikTok | 4 GB | 1s to 10 min | mov, mp4, m4a, 3gp, 3g2, mj2 | h264 | aac | — |
| YouTube | 4 GB | 1s to 12 h | mov, mp4, m4a, 3gp, 3g2, mj2 | h264 | aac | — |
Reading the table
Connect is how you link the account. "One-click OAuth" redirects you to the platform and back. "Credentials you paste" means you generate a token or app password on the platform's own site and paste it into Postlyra.
Post kinds are what the connector can publish. A platform without text needs media on every post.
Caption limit is the platform's own character cap. The composer enforces it before you can schedule.
Max media is how many images or slides one post can carry.
Caveats that are not in the table
Things that will surprise you
Threads and Facebook Pages have working connectors but publishing stays in dry-run until Meta's app review passes. You can connect and compose. Nothing goes out.
YouTube uploads are forced to private visibility, regardless of what you pick, until Google's audit completes.
LinkedIn has no post analytics. LinkedIn gates that API behind business verification, so LinkedIn posts show no metrics in Postlyra.
X has no connector at all. It exists in the platform list as a name, and nothing more.
TikTok can be published to, but there is no TikTok research driver, so TikTok channels cannot be tracked or analysed.
Instagram DM automations and inbox replies default to dry-run and send nothing until that is switched off deliberately.
Per-platform guides
Adding a platform
A platform is publishable when a connector for it is registered. There is no configuration flag, no beta list, and no per-account toggle. If it is in the table above, it works. If it is not, it does not exist yet.
